Plug-in OLED displays for easy installation

DISPLAY VISIONS is the world's first supplier to launch a series of OLED displays with pins for contacting. Instead of interference-prone plug connections, the new displays are simply soldered into the circuit board. Sample devices and small series can also be realised easily and cost-effectively by inserting them into a suitable socket or on the breadboard.
The new OLED displays from DISPLAY VISIONS have numerous impressive features. Firstly, there is the huge contrast range of 1:2000 typical of OLEDs, which ensures a crisp display with excellent readability. Then there is the extraordinarily wide viewing angle of over 170° - this means that the displays can be read from practically any perspective. There is also the huge temperature range in which these displays can be operated. It ranges from arctic winters at minus 40°C to tropical environments at +80°C. And last but not least, there is the extremely fast response time of 10 µs without afterglow. This fast response is achieved even at the lowest temperatures. The durability of these products is also remarkable: Thanks to a new, patented OLED technology, their service life reaches up to 100,000 operating hours, depending on the ambient temperature. This profile means that the displays can also be used in harsh industrial environments.
All displays come with an integrated controller. They have the standard SPI and I2C interfaces for communication with the outside world. Versions with RS-232 or USB interfaces are also available. The pins for contacting the displays are arranged in the internationally standardised grid dimension of 2.54 mm. The display colour is a bright, brilliant white. Various versions are available between 1.7" (resolution 102 x 64 pixels) and 5.5" (256 x 64 pixels). A test board with associated simulator software is also available for testing and development purposes.
