HMI operating units with touch panel

HMI means Human-Machine-Interface and stands for an operating unit for machines or devices. Modern operating units are equipped with a resistive or capacitive touch panel (PCAP). A resistive touch panel is very safe to operate and robust to use: it can also be operated with a glove or any pen without any problems. A PCAP only reacts to a finger or special pen.

A PCAP usually has a high-gloss glass surface, whereas resistive touch panels are equipped with an anti-reflective film.
