Serial and parallel microcontroller interfaces on the DOG modules
Serial and parallel microcontroller interfaces on the DOG modules
The DOG displays have parallel and serial microcontroller interfaces such as I2C / TWI or SPI, 4-bit and 8-bit. Up to 4 different interfaces can be set for the DOG modules. The DOG displays can be controlled in parallel in 4-bit or 8-bit mode or serially with SPI. There is also an I2C mode for the displays (also serial). This makes it possible to operate two displays on one I2C bus (TWI). If an SPI bus is available on the board, the DOG display can also simply be connected in serial mode. For optimum adaptation to the system voltage, two LED paths are available for the monochrome lighting, which can be connected in parallel or in series.Read more here...
