Cost-effective displays with UART/RS-232
DISPLAY VISIONS has developed a series of displays with touch panels for use with numerous programmable logic controllers (PLCs). The devices are characterised by immediate use and a particularly favourable price. They are connected to the PLC via a serial RS-232 / UART interface or alternatively via RS-485, LAN or WLAN wireless connection.
The new cost-effective touch displays of the EA HMI product family offer a brilliant, high-contrast display with high resolution and an all-round reading angle of 170 degrees. They can shine extremely brightly and communicate with all well-known PLC models, including brands from Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Beckhoff, Rockwell, Panasonic and many more. With the help of the free WYSIWYG tool "HMI Designer", the display units can be easily customised to the customer's respective target application using drag-and-drop. DISPLAY VISIONS also offers a programming service on request. The displays effortlessly store even complex screen pages, while the current data can be transmitted with the lowest possible bandwidth.
Data is exchanged via the RS-232 interface, for example, directly via the built-in UART with a real signal level of ±12 volts. This means that the devices are also suitable for remote access. Depending on the setting, the data rate can be set to values between 9,600 and 921,000 baud.
The range includes versions in five different screen sizes between 2.8", 4.3" and 7" up to 12.1". Installation in a front panel or door as well as wall mounting is possible.
