User-friendly remote front ends for Modbus

DISPLAY VISIONS offers a series of cost-effective displays in various sizes for use with Modbus systems. The devices in the EA HMI series are equipped with a touch panel. This means that they are also able to receive control commands. This emphasises their use as slave terminals.
The new Modbus displays first catch the eye with their brilliant, sharp visualisation. Equally impressive is their good readability over an angle of 170°. The inner values also have nothing to hide. For example, the user-friendliness: customised screen pages can be easily created using the free WYSIWYG tool "HMI Designer" - simply by dragging and dropping. The objects on the screen are then linked to the corresponding Modbus registers. The data is then automatically displayed in the correct place on the screen. All Modbus registers of the display configured as a slave can be freely assigned to different display types such as numerical values, bar graphs, images, text information etc.; 32-bit values can also be transmitted for floating point calculations. Up to 256 Modbus registers are supported.
The HMI series displays can be connected to all Modbus masters and used in RTU and TCP operating modes. These operating modes are used by small controllers and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) from numerous well-known manufacturers, including Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi and Beckhoff.
The new Modbus displays are currently available in four sizes from 2.8" to 10". Thanks to the clever positioning of their data and supply cables, they can be mounted on walls as well as in front panels or the doors of control cabinets. No tools are required to install the connections.
