High display quality in any size
With a screen diagonal of just 0.96 inches (approx. 2.5 cm), the new TFT009-81BINN micro colour display is the ideal candidate for compact handheld devices of all kinds. Despite its small dimensions, the display module offers a resolution of 12,800 pixels. The IPS technology guarantees excellent readability even under the most unfavourable viewing angles.
The TFT009-81BINN with integrated graphics controller offers a high-quality display thanks to sophisticated display technologies such as IPS (In-Plane-Switching) and AACS (All-Angle Colour Stability Management): IPS ensures a consistently high contrast regardless of the viewing angle, while AACS keeps the colour display constant even when the viewing angle changes. This means that this small display can be used in both portrait and landscape format without compromising image quality. The white LED backlight achieves a brightness of up to 500 cd/m2. This means that the display always provides an excellent picture - even in unfavourable or poor lighting conditions.
For the connection to the outside world, DISPLAY VISIONS has integrated an SPI interface via which the µC communicates with just four or three lines. This dramatically reduces the number of connections required for the display. The TFT009-81BITC version, which is equipped with a PCAP touch panel, is also available as an option. This has an I2C interface for reading out the input commands. Both the touch panel and the display are connected via a ZIF connector.
