Almost all displays today are designed using touch LCD technology. An LCD display consists of 2 glass plates and a liquid in between. TFT panels are also LCD touch panels, only expanded by a color filter and an active control via transistor. There are many different versions: touch, text, graphics, 7-segment and icon-based versions. The 7-segment touch display was an early form of LCD displays and was installed in calculators and watches.
