Compact displays are required for handheld applications or smaller devices. Displays with dimensions of around 50~70mm are described as compact.

A compact intelligent display should usually also be energy-saving. This is where LCD technology comes into its own. The EA DOG series is specially designed with this in mind: compact, flat, energy-saving. Many of our customers choose the EA DOG displays, especially when there is little space available and/or battery-powered equipment requires a display.
What else characterises a compact intelligent display? A bright but efficient backlight is also very helpful for reading. If input is required despite the compact dimensions, we recommend a mini touch display from the EA uniTFTs series (see photo above).
A compact modern display can be tested very easily with our USB test board EA 9780-USB; quite simply and without writing code or creating a layout.
