With its 39mm width and 40mm height the new EA DOGS102-6 is the most compact graphic display by ELECTRONIC ASSEMBLY. Even with this small size an analogue touch panel is available. All touch areas are defined by software. With a typical touch area of 10x10mm up to 8 touch keys have room. This is more than enough for the most applications. Thanks to the extreme compact outline, the newest member of the EA DOG family is perfect to become assembled into a 19" rack with 1 RU. It is also ideal for wall-mounted switches in premises; it could become a simple display, switch or control unit there. With 102x64 dots there is enough space for multi-line text and graphics. Congenial to the display ELECTRONIC ASSEMBLY provides backlight units in white and amber color, as well as a duo colored version in green and red. The white backlight does reach a brightness of incredible 2000cd/m². This leads together with the new super-white polarizor an extreme brillant display. Important for the quality is to know that 4(!) pcs. long-life NICHIA LED's are assembled. The connection to a microcontroller is done via serial interface SPI.. The power supply is single 2.7 ~ 3.3V. Current consumption stays below 150uA. The EA DOG series provides some more display sizes as character and graphic types.
This is the new solution: put the graphic display and the backlight together and solder into the pc board. An extra mounting is no longer required. The new graphics displays from DOG-series do provide a resolution of 128x64 dots. The mechanical mounting as well as the electrical contact is done via the 26 pins, pitch 1/10 inch. Simple and reliable. Connection is done via serial interface SPI. Data transmission rate is up to 20MHz without any busyflag operation. The displays do have very compact outline dimension of 55x46mm and an extreme narrow edge. There's a low-power graphics controller built-in already. The modern chip design leads to a power consumption of 150uA only (single supply 3.3V). There is no additional voltage required and contrast is held stady over unsteady supply voltage and ambient temperature automatically. Contrast adjustment is done via software control. Operating temperature range is from -20 up to +70°C. ELECTRONIC ASSEMBLY do provide some fitting white, blue, yellow/green, amber and red modules for backlighting. Even a full color RGB is available. All those are LED design and easy stick together. They do provide highest intensity and even illumination. Switching on and off or dimming can be done all the time. The white backlight is perfect for all battery powered systems, because already with 3mA brigthness gives total satisfaction. Those combination of various display technologies (positive, negative, blue, green, black) and different backlight colors (white, blue, amber, yellow/green, red) enables widest flexibility in design.
This is one of a lot features to the EA DOG-series. The super bright backlight is extreme even and available in various different colours. Also a RGB backlight is included. The contrast and viewing angle of the STN and FSTN displays is without any reproval. More than that: the unbelievable compact design and the integrated graphic controller with SPI interface makes it straightforward. The displays will be soldered direct onto a pcb, and for programming there are ready made character sets and some routines for initialisation available. Furthermore there is a testboard for easy USB connection and a gratis simulation software for Windows on hand. Outstanding is the low current consumption of 150~350uA only at single supply +3.3V (depends on display size). There is no additional voltage needed. Contrast is held steady over unsteady supply voltage and over the whole ambient temperature automatically. Contrast adjustment is done via software control. Because this display series was developed for industrial application, operating temperature range is wide with -20 up to +70°C. Optionally display can be equipped by a touch panel. ELECTRONIC ASSEMBLY does offer the EA DOG-series with 132x32 and 128x64 dots (2 different sizes). With 7 different backlights these display do match to every design. The white backlight e.g. is perfect for battery powered systems because it is bright enough even at low current of 5mA. Last but not least all displays are with all colours available ex stock !

The BlueLine displays are the latest craze on display market. Right now the first modules for pcb mounting are available. Just put it into pcb and solder. There are no srews, pin header or cable necessary. Soldered means mounted. This is the the blue-white optic together with a smart production method. The new display EA DIP162-DNLW is compatible to the yellow/green DIP-line from ELECTRONIC ASSEMBLY. For a 2x16 display with 6.68mm font size outline dimension are very small: just 75x27x10.8mm ! Thanks to the novel supertwist technology viewing angle is extreme and color is real nice blue. As a standard display meets industrial standard with -20..+70°C. No contrast adjustment is required. Some more displays with that style are announced.
Without any mounting needs the new DIP modules are fixing itself. Just put it into pcb and solder. There are no more srews, pin header or cable necessary. Soldered means mounted. As this is a absolute new design there are some more advantages: active area is an optimum for these outline dimensions. At this moment there are 6 different modules in 2 sizes available. The smaller ones, EAÂ DIPS, do have 40x20mm outline dimensions and provide 1x8 and 2x8 characters with 7.15mm and 5.01mm font size. The bigger size series got 4 members: a dotmatrix 1x8 with large 11.48 font, a 2x16/6.68mm and a 4x20/3.72mm as character displays. The graphics version has a resolution of 122x32 dots and an integrated controller SED1520. All modules of same series do have same pinout and can be replaced by each other. STN technology provides a wide viewing angle and the bigger modules were shipped with LED backlight. All modules are standard and available ex stock.
For price sensitive products ELECTRONIC ASSEMBLY offers it's new Control Unit with integrated touch panel. The EAÂ KIT160-7CTP combines a display, a key pad and switches at a single unit. The advantages are immediately clear: cheap, compact and flexible. Labeling of up to 56 key pads is made by customers software. So even for smallest quantities different product version and languages can be supported quickly without any additional cost. Using a STN display from BlueLine series Control Unit provides an excellent contrast with the colors blue and white together with a bright backlight. By the way, surface of touch panel is non-scratchable and anti-reflex for best contrast of lcd. Display itself got enough space for text, icons an graphics. Many graphics functions and fonts are already built in. This makes connection with various systems absolute easy. Text and graphics function can be used in parallel - accurate to the pixel. Outline dimensions are very compact with 140x102mm for a viewing area of 5,1" (101x102mm). Data transmission is done by RS-232 or RS-422 with a coordinate based language. Macros and pictures can be stored in onboard EEPROM. Power supply is 5V or 9..35V. Two mounting bezels made of anodized aluminium are available as an accessorie in black and blue.
All prices for dotmatrix BlueLine series are going down for 15-20% each. Because of the high volume production ELECTRONIC ASSEMBLY is able to forward the purchaseing advantage even for small quantities. No wonder this series impress by a new look: blue LCD with white characters. At a second glance you will recognize that contrast and viewing angle is excellent. Even technical details make the engineer happy: low power consumption for backlight (e.g. 15..60mA for 2x16 LCD), operating temperature range is 0..+50°C or optionally -20..+70°C. Made with this new technic there are a lot of different modules at different sizes available. All of them are compatible to the market standard with controller HD44780. Everybody who is interested in graphics displays will find many different modules from 128x64 up to 320x240 dots - absolute compatible to market standard in hard- and software.
Splashproof meters ELECTRONIC ASSEMBLY / Germany have introduced a new series of digital panel meters combining a low profile with miniature "component style" body. The EA 4035 series can provide splash-proof protection to IP65, when the supplied silicon seal is fitted. The range features 3.5 digit LED and LCD readouts, auto-polarity and 200mV full scale reading. A 12 pin option offers more operating modes and direct compatibility with DATEL voltmeters. 8&9 pin options are lower cost, easier to use and more suited to new design. LCD versions incorporate high efficiency LED backlight.
RS-232 with Snap-In Some of the well known "Serials" from ELECTRONIC ASSEMBLY / Germany are available now completed with a snap-in housing. All new versions provide many more features with 100% compatibility in hard- and software. For example these LCD character modules with RS-232 interface are supplied optionally with 9~35V or standard 5V. All displays can be used even with very long line up to 1,200 m using the optional RS-422 interface. Furtherwards from now on LED backlight can be controlled by software command switching it on and off. Palette is growing up to 35 different sizes and styles. That includes 7 displays from the blueline series with its nice warm display color. 3 displays come with a black plastic housing for very easy mounting, and a 4th one with full graphics mode 120x32. Famous is also the slave mode: Up to 64 displays can be connected at a single RS-232 line. Each of it with individual adress.
3.3V Graphics LCD With their width of 34 and 56mm 2 new graphics modules come to market as the smallest ELECTRONIC ASSEMBLY ever had. Both displays EA W128 are equiped with an integrated graphics controller KS0713. Supply voltage is 2.4~3.6V and thanks to the built in charge pump there is no additional supply voltage required. Contrast is set by software. Interface can be switched from 8 bit data bus to serial SPI with CLK, SID and SOD. As a standard both displays are available with and without EL backlight. Backlighted versions provide very best contrast for various environments. Low power consumption with less than 1mA and a thickness of 1.6mm make these modules perfect for mobile applications. Resolution of 128x64 dots is good for 21 characters and 8 lines and even for many graphic symbols. This flexibility opens a wide range of application possibilities e.g. in mobile data terminals, medicine diagnostics and a small lowcost display for monitoring aswell.
BlueLine LCD First you are impressed by the new look: blue LCD with white characters. At second glance you will recognize that contrast and viewing angle is excellent. Even technical characteristics make the engineer happy: extreme low power consumption for backlight (e.g. 15..60mA for 2x16 lcd), operating temperature range is 0..+50°C or optionally -20..+70°C. Made with this new technic there are a lot of different modules at different sizes available. All of them compatible to the market standard with controller HD44780. Who is interested in graphics displays will find many different modules from 128x64 up to 320x240 dots - absolut compatible to market standard for hard- and software.
DIP LCD - fixing itself There are no more srews, pin header or flat cable required for mounting the new displays from the DIP-line. Designed within a dip case like an integrated circuit with two pin rows there are a lot of advantages: Viewing area is nearly as wide as the outline dimension (61x19mm at an outline of 68x27mm). Tickness is less than 11mm even for LED backlighted modules. At this moment there are 3 different versions available. Two of them are character displays, one with 1x8 and 11.48mm character height and the other one with 2x16 and 6.68mm characters. Both are software- and hardware-compatible to the HDÂ 44780 standard. The graphics version provides a solution of 122x32 dots and comes with a controller SEDÂ 1520. Because of their identically pinout and outline dimensions all types can be replaced by another module from the dip line. The displays are all made with modern supertwist panels and where shipped with a brightness adjustable led backlight. Power consumption for that is typically 70mA.
A new supertwist liquid gives the LC graphic display EA P120 from ELECTRONIC ASSEMBLY the best contrast available on small LCDs. The module has a resolution of 120x32 dots, enough for 4x20 characters with a height of 4.55mm. Larger characters (e.g. 9.7mm at 2x15 chars. or 20.8mm at 1x8) and graphs can also be displayed. Many different character sets are available on disc. The display is also available with LED or EL backlight. Wide operating temperature range from -20 to +70°C is standard. A graphic controller SED 1520 makes connecting to an 8 bit databus very easy. Power supply requirement is +5V and typically -1.7V with a current consumption of 800µA max. For low power applications 3.3V operation is possible. The most important aim when developing the module was to maximize the viewing area, and minimize the dimensions (62x22.4mm by 68x39mm). A depth of 6.2mm makes the reflective and EL lighted modules especially suitable for handheld applications. The price of the EA P120 is below that of a standard 4x20 character display - but with a full graphic feature!
Only two wires are needed to connect EA 4220-CL to your signal source. No soldering or special connectors - the wires will be plugged into screw terminals; decimal points are selected by jumpers. Mechanical mounting is even more simple: Just push the snap-in box (90x50mm) into your front panel - Ready. Since the input signal ranges from 4 to 20 mAmps, there is always enough energy to supply the low-power panel meter. Versatile adjustments for zero offset and span make the module suitable for a wide range of applications. Excellent contrast is achieved by the easy to read LCD display with 3?digit and 18mm / 0.7" digit height. A precison band gap reference offers a more constant readout than on other panel meters. For other applications there are three more, similar modules in the same box: EA 4220-AT measures current from 0 to ±20mA. Due to this input range, a supply voltage (5V/<20mA) is needed. Don't worry about INLO and GND potentials - the on-board DC/DC converter guarantees isolation of supply and signal input. EA 4220-VTB is a 0 to ± 2V voltmeter with more than 100 MOhms input resistance. Supply voltage (5V/<20mA) and input signal are isolated by an on-board DC/DC converter. A special feature is that the read-out at 0V input can be shifted. EA 4220-VB voltmeter offers the same input range, but can be supplied with a DC voltage of 5V ... 12V ... 24V (other supply voltage on request). In most applications only three wires are needed: Supply, Ground, InHigh.
3 lines by 12 characters provide a sufficient information volume. The communication of our new EA T123-I2C is working with the well known I2C-Bus interface. That way only 2 lines from the uC are required. The integrated font shows 240 characters including some useful symbols. The high contrast transflective display allows an application with and without backlight. Besides the advantage of the I2C bus interface the EA 7123-I2C impress with it?s extreme compact design: the innovative chip-on-glas technology makes it possible for a minimum of 2.65mm height. The propotion of the character size of 4.7mm and the module dimensions of 46x33mm is well chosen. Just because of this disign the module is suitable especially for handheld application. Therefore the power consumption is 250uA only. The supply voltage range is 2.5 to 6V and the operating temperature is -20..+70°C. A negative voltage generator is onboard. Last of all here are some good news for users of the canceled Philips module LPH 3827: the EA T123-I2C is electricaly and mechanicaly compatible to it. This display module is compatible to OPTREX OEG3231493, OEG3231413 OEG3231247, C51573, Philips LPH3827.
That looks good: LCD technology with 9,2mm character height. The integrated bright yellow backlight and the supertwist technology allows reading the lcd from all directions in best way; - also in dark surrounding. The display works in a temperature range from 0..+50°C or -20..+70°C. Programming the lcd is made over the well known 4-/8-bit interface. Standard version operates with a single 5V supply. Optionally the display is featured with a RS-232 or RS-422 interface. A version with 64 messages stored in an EEPROM is also available. The built in character set is available with english or cyrillic letters. It is possible to define additionally 8 characters by yourself. The outline dimensions are 146x62,5x13mm. Do you think that is to big? OK. Then take a look at our Micro Display with 3,15mm character height and dimensions of 65x28x8,3mm.
ELECTRONIC ASSEMBLY produces the smallest DC-AC converter called EA PSEL-22. The dimensions are 20x7x8mm. Power supply range is from 1.5 to 6V (various brightness) with a typically current consumption of 15mA/5V. The module is good for EL lamps up to 20cm². Low power and small size makes it ideal for battery powered systems. The converter is available with and without pins. Another advantage is the digital on/off input. Switched off the current consumption is reduced to 50nA. Many fitting EL lamps in various sizes are available 1 pc. off. From aprox. 250 pcs. off custom made sizes and colors are available. To smaller your application ELECTRONIC ASSEMBLY offers also a kit with all components for lighting, together with an EL lamp.
ELECTRONIC ASSEMBLYs graphic unit EA KIT128-V24 with the touch panel is a tailor-made operating front-end for small and midrange machinery. You can easily define up to 8x4 keys on the display, each with its individual lettering and function. Powerful commands allow to combine and to automatically letter several keys. Based on the latest supertwist technology, the LCD with 128x64 pixel offers enough space for messages, icons an graphics. Best readability both in bright and poorly lit environment is assured by a LED backlight. The whole unit measures 102x80mm. Text and graphics may be freely positioned. There are 10 built-in character font, including Cyrillic. Programming is done by means of serial communication (RS-232C, RS-422) and uses high level commands. Even some complete series of commands or pictures can be stored in the display module. Later they are recalled via RS-232 or the touch panel. To install the graphic unit, simply push it into your front panel (3mm thick). Supplements like a matching RS232 cable with 9way D-Sub connector or a disk with sample programms are available too. For fast prototyping use the flash version, which features a FLASH ROM instead of the EPROM.
