Serial control of a TFT display (4.3") has never been easier!Normally, the operation of a colour TFT display requires a controller, ample memory and a comprehensive system (PC) or high-performance microcontroller, as well as lots of hardware and software. Up to now, such displays could not be serially controlled through a small system (controller).Every TFT display requires a graphic controller. The EA eDIPTFT43-A from ELECTRONIC ASSEMBLY does not only include a built-in TFT controller but also comes with a range of intelligent functions. This unique TFT display with touch panel and controller is a plug&play device designed for serial control.

It can be easily integrated into a microcontroller system.Requirements: +5V (max. 180mA) power supply and 3 different interfaces (RS-232, SPI and I˛C bus). The EA eDIPTFT43 comes with 7 character sets and a range of graphic functions as standard. Images and icons with a colour depth of up to 65, 536 (JPEG, BMP and GIF including animation) can be stored in the internal flash data memory. Equipped with a touch panel with touch controller, this TFT display becomes a highly versatile and powerful control unit. Company logos are easy to create and can be stored directly in the display. A versatile range of character sets (Cyrillic, Hebrew, Arabic, etc.) make it suitable for the international market. All these options are available with a small 8-bit or even 4-bit microcontroller!
