This display series was specially developed for
low-power hand-held applications.
For the first time it is possible to operate
a standard display at 3.3V!
The optionally available LED backlighting can also be run
with 3.3V or 5V. The preferred interface is the SPI bus.
In the mean time are a lot different character and
graphic displays available.

Small displays from EA DOG series are available with SPI interface

Some of the EA DOG displays with SPI from ELECTRONIC ASSEMBLY are small and with 2.0 or 2.8 millimeters quiet flat. The display suits ideal for small handheld applications. There are text displays with 1x8 up to 4x20 character as well as graphic displays with 102x64 .. 240x128 dots. All of them are equipped with SPI interface. Even with backlight these small displays are not thicker than 5.8 or 6.4 millimeters. If you want to connect these displays with the computer there is a USB testboard available. It's called EA 9780-3USB. These DOG displays with SPI (I2C) are most suitable for small applications and made for single supply 3.3V application.
