This display series was specially developed for
low-power hand-held applications.
For the first time it is possible to operate
a standard display at 3.3V!
The optionally available LED backlighting can also be run
with 3.3V or 5V. The preferred interface is the SPI bus.
In the mean time are a lot different character and
graphic displays available.

With the EA DOG series ELECTRONIC ASSEMBLY brings a product family in the LCD market, which are as compact and easily controllable as possible. To the simple activation not only the variable display connection with the host controller 4-Bit/8-Bit parallel or serial SPI is remarkable, but also the supply voltage. With the supply ELECTRONIC ASSSEMBLY spent a lot of work and offers a true 3.3V single supply. This means both the display controller can be operated at 3.3 V and the optionally in many different colors available back light.

This 3.3 V single supply is rounded out with text display of the family with a 5V supply option. The 3.3V operation is so important, because many micro controller systems are working with this voltage. Furthermore, in many hand held applications, the operating conditions of the system voltage is specified by the battery with 3.3 volts. The cost of a level adjustment and the causing problems are eliminated completely. As a further advantage, especially for mobile applications, the low electricity usage are listed. The displays require only 700 microamps, the back light depending on the size between 10 and 150 milliamps.
